B2B technology providers don't pay per lead — they pay when a business signs and starts paying. Commission is usually tied to the monthly recurring charge (MRC), which makes it some of the most valuable work an outreach team can do.
What MRC commission means
If a business signs for a fiber circuit at $1,000 a month, the MRC is $1,000. A campaign paying 80% of MRC pays $800 on that order; a cloud campaign paying 15% of MRC for three months pays $150 for each of the first three months. Some UK campaigns instead pay an upfront percentage of the contract.
Where outreach teams fit
You don't need to design networks or quote cloud architecture. Your job is to find businesses with a real trigger — a contract ending, an office move, slow service, a hardware refresh, a security requirement — and get a decision-maker into a conversation. BFOUNT's channel and partner teams handle quoting, contracts and provisioning.
Good targets
- Multi-site businesses: clinics, retail chains, logistics depots.
- Companies moving offices or opening new locations.
- Businesses on old copper lines or consumer-grade broadband.
- Firms with on-premise servers due for replacement.
Compliance for B2B outreach
B2B still has rules: CAN-SPAM for US email, CASL in Canada, GDPR and ePrivacy rules in Europe, PECR and the Corporate TPS in the UK. Keep records of your data sources and honour opt-outs.
