In this lesson you’ll learn to
- I wrote a positioning statement using the template
- I chose one main difference
- My positioning is true, relevant, different and one sentence
The positioning statement
For [target customer] who [need or trigger], [brand] is the [category] that [key benefit]. Unlike [alternative], we [proof of difference].
Example: “For independent dental practices whose phone contracts are ending, BFOUNT Telecom is the business phone partner that ends missed patient calls. Unlike big carriers, we set up, train staff and give you one named contact.”
Choose one difference
You can be good at many things but known for one. Common positioning angles:
• Specialisation — “for dental practices”, “for UK tenants”.
• Speed — “decisions in 24 hours”.
• Simplicity — “no jargon, one monthly price”.
• Guarantee — “pay only for billable calls”.
• Expertise or results — evidence-based outcomes.
