Most visitors are not ready to buy today. Capture them with consent and nurture them with emails until they are.

In this lesson you’ll learn to

  • I capture emails with a clear, valuable offer
  • I follow consent rules
  • I have a 5-email welcome sequence
  • I segment subscribers
  • I measure clicks and conversions

Build the list with consent

Offer something valuable (a checklist, guide, calculator, quote) in exchange for an email address. Be clear about what they will receive, and follow consent rules — consumer marketing email in the UK and EU generally needs consent or a soft opt-in from existing customers.

A welcome sequence

• Deliver the resource and set expectations.

• Share your best tip or story.

• Answer the most common objection.

• Show proof — a case study or reviews.

• Make a clear offer.

Ongoing newsletters

Send regularly (weekly or fortnightly) with one useful idea and one call to action.

Segment

Tag subscribers by interest and behaviour so they receive relevant emails.

Measure

Track click rate, replies, conversions and unsubscribes rather than opens alone.
