In this lesson you’ll learn to
- I know when to use Performance Max
- I feed PMax quality data
- My YouTube ads hook in five seconds
- Remarketing messages differ from initial ads
- Search stays my core
Performance Max
PMax uses your assets and audience signals to run across Search, YouTube, Display, Discover, Gmail and Maps. It works best with strong conversion tracking and good creative. Use brand exclusions, negative keywords where available and lead quality data to prevent junk.
YouTube ads
• Hook in the first five seconds, before the skip button.
• Show the problem, the solution and a clear CTA.
• Use Demand Gen or video campaigns optimised for conversions.
Remarketing
Show ads to people who visited but did not convert — with consent where required. Use different messages (reviews, offers, objection-handling) instead of repeating the same ad.
Customer Match
Upload customer lists (with proper consent and policy compliance) to exclude existing customers or find similar audiences.
Keep search as the core
