The best email is worthless in spam. Set up domains, authentication, warm-up and sending limits so your outreach reaches real inboxes.

In this lesson you’ll learn to

  • I send outreach from a separate domain
  • SPF, DKIM and DMARC are configured
  • New mailboxes are warmed gradually
  • My first emails are plain and link-light
  • I monitor bounces and complaints

Use a separate domain

Send cold outreach from a domain similar to your main one (for example, getbrand.com) so problems never affect your main company email.

Authenticate

• SPF — lists servers allowed to send for your domain.

• DKIM — signs your emails so receivers can verify them.

• DMARC — tells receivers what to do with unauthenticated mail and sends you reports.

Major mailbox providers now expect all three from bulk senders, along with easy unsubscribe and low spam complaint rates.

Warm up and limit volume

New mailboxes should start with small daily volumes and increase gradually over several weeks. Keep daily sends per mailbox modest and spread across several mailboxes rather than blasting from one.

Write for deliverability

• Plain text or very light form
