In this lesson you’ll learn to
- I track bounce, reply, positive reply, meetings booked and held
- I ignore open rates as a key metric
- I diagnose problems by symptom
- I test one variable per segment
- I run a weekly review
Key metrics
• Bounce rate — list quality (keep it very low).
• Reply rate — message relevance.
• Positive reply rate — offer and targeting.
• Meetings booked per 100 prospects — the real outcome.
• Meeting held rate — qualification and confirmation.
• Opportunities and revenue per campaign.
Open rates are unreliable because email clients pre-load images; use replies instead.
Diagnose by symptom
• High bounces → fix the data.
• Low replies → fix relevance: trigger, first line, problem.
• Replies but few positives → fix targeting or the offer.
• Meetings booked but not held → confirm better, book sooner, qualify.
Test one variable
Split a segment and test one change — first line, problem fram
